All members of the undergraduate faculties may be reimbursed up to $125 per class or $8 per student, whichever is less. Lower division advisers may also use this program to treat their advisees once per semester. At the heart of every higher education institution are the students, the faculty, and the staff. Therefore, every effort to improve students’ experiences on campus and academic outcomes must include the voices of students, as well as leadership from and intensive engagement with faculty and staff. In a classroom that emphasizes engagement, students are asked to participate in their own learning process and sometimes even in course design. Lectures haven’t disappeared from the classroom, but they now incorporate multimedia, technology and class participation.
